About WorkSafe Sounds
WorkSafe Sounds brings together over 20 years of construction health and safety experience, real court decisions, and modern training tools—including original safety music—to help employers, supervisors, and workers understand their responsibilities under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Basically, what this means is we turn legislation and case law into clear, practical guidance that people can use on the job the very next day. Our focus is always the same: help workplaces take every precaution reasonable to protect workers.
Who We Are
WorkSafe Sounds was created by Efosa Ayobahan, a mechanical engineer turned construction health and safety consultant and college professor. After working with contractors, owners, and workers across Ontario for more than two decades, Efosa saw the same challenge over and over again: people know safety matters, but the training often doesn’t connect with day-to-day work.
WorkSafe Sounds exists to close that gap. We combine:
- Real-world consulting experience on construction sites, COR 2020 projects, and safety management systems.
- College-level teaching that breaks complex legislation into plain language.
- Original safety music and audio tools that reinforce key messages long after the course is over.
Snapshot
- 20+ years in construction health & safety
- Consultant to contractors pursuing COR 2020
- Part-time professor teaching OHSA and safety systems

Our Approach to Safety Training
We want employers and supervisors to walk away from training with more than a certificate. Each course, tool, and piece of music is designed to support the Internal Responsibility System and demonstrate due diligence.
- Plain language first. Legal terms are explained simply so everyone understands what the law expects.
- Case-based learning. We use real court decisions and incident stories to show how things go wrong and what due diligence looks like in practice.
- Practical tools. Every session connects back to checklists, forms, and templates supervisors can actually use.
- Music as a memory tool. Original songs and playlists reinforce key safety messages during and after training.
- Respect for front-line reality. We recognize production pressures, subcontractors, and changing site conditions; training is grounded in real work.
- Focus on leadership behaviour. Policies only work when supervisors and employers lead by example.
Why Music and Real Cases?
Workers and supervisors remember stories and rhythms far longer than they remember slide decks. WorkSafe Sounds uses both.
- Cases & Lessons: Real Ontario decisions show what courts expect from supervisors, employers, and constructors.
- Safety Music: Custom tracks provide a professional, clean soundtrack for toolbox talks, pre-job meetings, and training videos.
- Reinforcement: After the formal course, music and case summaries keep key ideas alive on site.
How It Fits Together
- Music sets the tone for positive, professional sessions.
- Cases make the law real and underline the consequences.
- Tools give supervisors something concrete to take back to the site.

- Documented training tied directly to OHSA duties and real cases.
- Practical forms and templates that capture inspections, toolbox talks, and corrective actions.
- Clear expectations for supervisors that can be built into job descriptions and performance reviews.
- Engaging tools that keep safety visible during the workday, not just in the classroom.
