Courses & Training Programs

These programs are built for construction employers, supervisors, and health and safety leaders who want training that is practical, legally accurate, and grounded in real work. Each course connects directly to duties under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and to the Internal Responsibility System.

We combine case studies, discussion, and modern training tools—including WorkSafe Sounds music—to keep sessions engaging while still focusing on due diligence and hazard control.

Supervisor & Leadership-Focused Training

The majority of these programs are designed for supervisors, forepersons, and front-line leaders. We focus on what they must do every day to meet legal duties, lead by example, and make sure controls are in place before work starts.

Employers and health and safety coordinators are encouraged to attend as well. This supports a shared understanding of due diligence and helps align your policies, procedures, and field-level practice.

Core Training Programs

These courses form the core of the WorkSafe Sounds training lineup. Each one can be delivered as a stand-alone course or combined into a custom program for your company.

Supervisor Safety Training

Covers supervisor duties under the OHSA, due diligence, communication with workers, inspections, and responding to unsafe conditions or refusals to work.

COR 2020 Implementation Support

Helps employers and project teams understand COR 2020 elements, documentation requirements, and how to build an occupational health and safety management system that passes audits.

NCSO Prep & Support

Prepares candidates for the National Construction Safety Officer requirements, with a focus on legislation, hazard recognition, documentation, and practical exam readiness.

Incident Investigation Fundamentals

Teaches supervisors and H&S reps how to respond when an incident or near miss occurs, gather facts, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions.

  • Audience: supervisors, H&S reps, JHSC members
  • Format: case-based workshop with forms

How WorkSafe Sounds Training Works

Basically, what this means is that we take the legal and technical requirements and turn them into training that people can actually use on the job. The goal is to help employers take every precaution reasonable by giving supervisors and workers clear expectations and practical tools.

Can we tailor the content to our company and projects?

Yes. We encourage employers to share photos, procedures, and examples so that the training speaks directly to your work. The legal principles stay the same, but the examples become specific to your crews.

Do participants receive proof of completion?

Participants receive attendance records and a training certificate that outlines the topics covered. Employers can file these with their training records and COR 2020 documentation.

Can we combine courses into a multi-day program?

Yes. Many clients combine Supervisor Safety Training, Incident Investigation, and COR 2020 support into a focused two- or three-day program for leaders. We can also add follow-up coaching or toolbox-talk packages.
